In addition to winning multiple Champion titles, Robert Royston is an internationally recognized choreographer, performer, judge, and instructor. His credits include choreographing and performing in movies, on Broadway, in music videos, as well as on The Today Show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, The View, The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the Tony awards.

Robert Royston's teaching style is entertaining, humorous and very educational. He has a reputation for finding "magical moments" in the music and interpreting them with humor, personality, and expertise. Don't miss this chance to learn from the one of the best of the best!

In case you are new to WCS competitions, you should be aware that Robert did not know who his partner would be or what songs he would be dancing to. These are great examples of Robert's ability to interpret music on the fly!

Schedule*:

3:00 to 6:15 p.m.: Mini-Intensive - Advanced Only (limited attendance, balanced ratio) Must be able to dance with good musicality and be comfortable performing in front of others. (There will be a 15 min intermission). SOLD OUT!
Note: In order to keep it balanced we encourage you to sign up with a partner who you can choose to stay with for the intesive, or you may sign up as an individual to rotate with others who don't have partners, but we will restrict mini-intensive admission to a balanced ratio.

6:15 to 7:00 p.m.: Food Break - Bring something to eat or order delivery during Mini-Intensive intermission.

7:00 to 8:00 p.m.: Workshop 1 - Int/Adv: One of the most important techniques in WCS!! Learn how to apply the bow to create spring, rotation and improve your lead/follow connection.

8:00 to 9:00 p.m.: Workshop 2 - Int/Adv: This is what makes WCS so much fun!! Techniques for Creating Play through the Music and Momentum.

9:00 to Close: Social Dancing til After Midnight with DJs Mariel & Dave!
